During our student years, we, Luc and Milan saw a need for more engaging and effective learning experiences at universities. Traditional methods like passive lectures often fell short in fostering real understanding and engagement. This inspired us to personalize the learning experience by breaking down materials into smaller, interactive chunks with direct personal feedback.

After several proof-of-concept tests, we partnered with the OCW initiative “Een Slimmer Collegejaar,” which amplified our efforts and supported our first pilot implementation. The pilot was a success, generating significant excitement among students, with a notable increase in the pass rate observed compared to previous years.

Our vision is to expand this principle through a portfolio-based learning model that includes both mandatory components and sections open to individual exploration. By dynamically tailoring content to each student’s interests as they progress, we create enhanced learning experiences for better outcomes.
